Notre Dame Wallpaper

Product Description

One of my favorite memories of visiting France (besides visiting Jim Morrison's grave, but that is a story for another time) was climbing to the top of Notra Dame with my parents. There was a storm brewing, but we didn't know it.

I snapped a few photos, we looked out over Paris and then the downpour started! We were stuck at the top of the cathedral because the water was falling from the sky with such force that the spiral staircase turned into a waterfall. Everyone huddled together to try to escape the wetness.

When the rain started to subside a little bit we managed to go down the stairs by sticking to the outside of the staircase. Upon reaching the bottom the entire entrance to the cathedral was flooded. We somehow managed to grab onto the metal gate that surrounded and work our way over, bar by bar to higher ground.

This photo was taken prior to the rain enveloping the city. You can see the Eiffel Tower in the background and one of the beautiful gargoyles in the foreground.

This photo has been framed and sits on my coffin mantle in my rec room.

You can see the years of wear and age in the photo and I kept it there as a reminder of the age and wear we all go through, yet somehow tend to stand tall and survive just like that magnificent piece of architecture and art.

Please enjoy this free digital download wallpaper as my gift to you.
